Editorial standards
The rules every 72 News story follows.
Sources
- We summarise reporting from established outlets and name the outlet on screen and on the story page, with a link to the original.
- We do not add facts, numbers, names or quotes that are not in the source article.
- We do not make a story when the source does not give enough detail to summarise accurately.
Use of AI
- Scripts are drafted by an AI model and checked automatically against the source text.
- Voices in videos are synthetic, and videos carry an on-screen AI label.
- A person reviews each story before it is published.
Images
Most images are licensed stock photos chosen for the topic. They usually do not show the people or event in the story. Where an image is not from the event, we say so in the caption.
Neutrality
We aim for neutral wording. We do not editorialise and we do not take paid placement in stories.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we correct or remove the story and add a note on the page. To report an error, email contact@72news.net with the story link and what is wrong. We aim to reply within a few days.
72 News is not a source for emergencies, safety or legal decisions. Check official sources.
